Weimin He is working as an assistant professor in the Computing and New Media Technologies department at UW-Stevens Point. He received his PhD in computer science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2008, and his BS and MS degrees in computer science from Yunnan University, China. He has eight years of research experience in database management with expertise in XML. His research interests span XML data management, information retrieval, and peer-to-peer computing.
In addition to serving as program committee chair or board member of several international conferences and journals, He has published over ten papers in international conferences and journals. He has several years of teaching experience in programming languages, Web development, and databases. At UW-Stevens Point, He teaches the core database course titled Database Design and Implementation.
