Robert Barber obtained his PhD in the Cellular and Molecular Biology program at the UW-Madison in 1997. He was an NIH postdoctoral fellow at Pennsylvania State University from 1998 to 2000. Barber is currently an associate professor of biological sciences at the UW-Parkside, where the focus of his research is the application of genetic, biochemical, and informatics strategies to understand evolutionary relationships within biological datasets.
